the dental difference

Dental Disease affects approximately 85% of cats and dogs over the age of 1.  As your pet’s caregiver, there are many decisions that need to be made in order to keep your pets happy and healthy, including decisions regarding dental health.
Speak with one of our staff members about a complete dental care plan for your pet.  This may include:
  • A complete oral health assessment with one of our Veterinarians, this include the removal or plaque and tartar build up and any unhealthy teeth present in the mouth.
  • Scheduled dental (and overall) health checkups
  • Instructions on brushing your pets teeth at home, using a toothbrush and toothpaste suited to your pet
  • Feeding a veterinary exclusive, clinically proven dental formula
  • The use of oral health focused treats

Why dental health is so important
Every day you make choices regarding your pet’s nutrition, level of exercise and overall wellbeing.  Dental health care is a key component in your pet’s health.  Improved oral health care can reduce discomfort and medical problems that accompany dental disease:
  • Foul breath (halitosis)
  • Inflamed/swollen gums
  • Pain
  • Drooling, difficulty chewing, loss of appetite (anorexia)
  • Loss of weight and muscle mass
  • Inactivity, less interaction with the family
Your pet may show few obvious signs, and yet suffer from dental disease.  By ensuring daily dental care and regular check-ups, you are improving the quality of your pet's life.
